Exploration Initiatives Begin at Orbit JV Project in British Columbia

Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. and Sun Summit Minerals Corp. have initiated fieldwork at the Orbit copper-gold project in north-central British Columbia. The property, a Joint Venture between Eagle Plains (49%) and Sun Summit (51%), spans 6595 hectares. The 2026 exploration plan follows the initial 2025 field season, targeting the Calypso Zone identified last year. The project will utilize geological mapping, sampling, and reconnaissance to expand known mineral zones and seek new targets.

The Orbit Project straddles the Quesnellia and Stikinia terranes, known for significant porphyry deposits. Despite being largely unexplored, the area holds potential due to promising initial findings of gold, copper, and silver mineralization. As the designated operator, Eagle Plains will work with TerraLogic Exploration Inc., supported by Sun Summit's JD Camp logistics.

Significant interest in the geologically rich Toodoggone District is demonstrated by other mining activities, such as the Kemess Mine’s recent positive updates and investments by companies like Freeport-McMoRan and AngloGold Ashanti.
