FamiCord AG's Growth Persists with a Strong 2024 Performance

FamiCord AG, Europe's leading cell bank, reported a positive financial year in 2024. The company saw an increase in revenues by 6.6% to EUR 82.2 million, backed by a strong year-end business performance. Despite increased investments in marketing and sales, EBITDA rose to EUR 8.8 million, with a margin reaching 10.7%.

In 2024, FamiCord successfully halted a revenue decline in its German home market, amidst challenges like declining birth rates. Poland showed robust growth, while the GCC, Romanian, and Turkish markets demonstrated high demand. However, southern European markets such as Italy underperformed.

Operating cash flow slightly dipped to EUR 8.7 million. FamiCord expanded its placenta banking services in Italy and plans further roll-out by 2026. The company aims to focus on stem cell therapies and strengthen research collaborations, anticipating revenues of EUR 85-95 million in 2025.
