FDE announces high concentrations of natural hydrogen in Lorraine

Stock price chart of FRANCAISE ENERGIE (EPA:FDE) showing fluctuations.

The French energy company (FDE) has confirmed the discovery of exceptionally high concentrations of natural hydrogen in the Lorraine basin, thanks to data collected from the PTH-2 well, the deepest ever drilled for this resource. This unique project aims to explore natural hydrogen on a large scale.

Tests have shown significant concentrations of dissolved hydrogen, which increase with depth. Specifically, 36.1% at 2,242 meters and 49.6% at 2,426 meters. These results enhance our understanding of hydrogen production mechanisms. FDE plans to begin industrial production by the end of 2028 or early 2029.

The company, in partnership with Solexperts, has validated the SYSMOG™ technology to manage the extreme geological conditions encountered at depth. FDE is positioning itself as a technological leader for the development of natural hydrogen in Europe.
