FDE Secures €10M Bpifrance Funding for Low-Carbon Energy Initiatives

The French energy producer, Française de l'Énergie (FDE), has announced the acquisition of two strategic loans totaling €10 million from Bpifrance. This funding aims to accelerate FDE’s expansion in low-carbon energy production across Europe.
FDE’s Chairman, Julien Moulin, emphasized the robustness of their business model, reinforced by this financial backing. The loans will enhance FDE's reach in both domestic and international markets, especially in the low-carbon hydrogen sector.
The funding comprises a 10-year "Prêt Croissance Relance" loan and a "Prêt Vert" loan with a 5-year term, the latter partially guaranteed by the “Fonds Prêt Vert 4.” These will support the firm’s goal to avoid over 20 million tons of CO2 emissions annually by 2030.
Additionally, FDE’s current operations prevent 3.5 million tons of CO2 emissions yearly, solidifying its role in the energy transition.
