Linear Minerals Corp. Acquires Kipawa West Rare Earth Project
Linear Minerals Corp. has announced an option agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Kipawa West Rare Earth Property in Quebec. The acquisition covers 53 mining claims over 3,000 hectares, located 30 km east of Témiscaming and 140 km south of Rouyn-Noranda. This area is recognized for its rare earth enrichment and favorable geology.
The claims encompass peralkaline syenites and are in proximity to the Kipawa Rare Earth deposit. Historical data indicate anomalous cerium and lanthanum values. Linear plans to undertake mapping, sampling, and geophysical studies to identify drilling targets.
The option agreement requires issuing up to 4,500,000 common shares and incurring $1.25 million in exploration expenditures over three years. The Optionor retains a 2.0% GMR from any future production, subject to regulatory approvals.
