Smart City Expo 2026: A Leading Global Urban Summit

Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2026, organized by Fira de Barcelona, is set to position itself as the pivotal global urban summit. From November 3-5, over 600 speakers will come together at the Gran Via venue in Barcelona under the theme "Urban Solutions, Real Impact."

This edition will welcome mayors and regional leaders from across the globe, including Anne Hidalgo, former Mayor of Paris, who will lead discussions on climate and energy challenges. Notable figures such as Atlanta's Andre Dickens and Freetown's Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr will also participate, elevating the summit's international status.

Housing takes center stage with a dedicated meeting hosted by the Barcelona City Council. Keynote speaker Nikolas Badminton, along with Ayumi Moore Aoki, will address AI and diversity as fundamental urban innovation drivers.

The congress expects 27,000 attendees and over 1,100 exhibitors, including major corporations like Google and Microsoft, confirming its significance in the industry.
