First Phosphate Corp. Moves Toward Semi-Industrial Production

Mining company First Phosphate Corp. announced significant progress in the development of its Bégin-Lamarche phosphate project, located in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. A 5,000-kilogram bulk sample was extracted for advanced metallurgical testing. These tests aim to optimize the recovery of apatite, magnetite, and ilmenite.

Following positive results from preliminary testing in 2023, the company is seeking to validate these processes on a semi-industrial scale. The strategy includes surface stripping and channel sampling to better understand the geology of the northern and southern zones of the site.

The activities are carried out under the supervision of SGS Canada, in accordance with National Instrument 43-101. A technical report will follow the testing. These initiatives are part of the company's plan to establish a sustainable industrial process for the production of critical minerals.
