First quarter 2026 results: Aperam posts solid performance

Aperam SA has published its results for the first quarter of 2026, marked by strong performance across its diversified value chain. Shipments reached 617,000 tons, an 11% increase compared to the previous quarter. Revenue also rose by 16%, reaching €1,575 million. Adjusted EBITDA amounted to €90 million, compared to €67 million in the fourth quarter of 2025. Despite these robust figures, net profit was €3 million, down from €29 million in the previous quarter.

Net financial debt increased to €1,057 million as of March 31, 2026. Free cash flow before dividends was negative, at -€44 million. Aperam anticipates significantly higher adjusted EBITDA for the second quarter of 2026, despite a slightly reduced debt. The company highlights improved safety, with the workplace accident frequency rate reduced to 1.4 times. CEO Sud Sivaji attributed these results to a diversified and resilient business model in the face of energy and geopolitical volatility.
