Five ZPMC Production Sites Achieve National Smart Manufacturing Certification

Shanghai-based heavy equipment manufacturer ZPMC has announced that five of its production sites have achieved Level 3 certification under China's national smart-manufacturing maturity model. This certification, known as the China Manufacturing Maturity Model (CMMM), is managed by the China Electronics Standardization Institute and reflects the integration of digital systems in production operations. The first site reached this level earlier in the year, with the remaining four accredited recently.

The CMMM assessment evaluates strategic planning, process design, equipment management, production operations, energy use, and safety protocols. ZPMC successfully integrated core information systems with shop-floor equipment, transitioning from preset instructions to data-driven operations. This allows for real-time decision-making, workflow adjustments, and equipment optimization.
