Flughafen Wien AG Reports Growth in First Half of 2025
Flughafen Wien AG experienced notable growth in the first half of 2025, despite global challenges. The group handled 19.6 million passengers, a 4.7% increase compared to the previous year. Revenue rose by 7.4% to €524.4 million, while net profit improved by 6.2% to €115.1 million.
Vienna Airport showed stable development, handling 3.3 million passengers in July, a slight decrease due to geopolitical issues in the Middle East. Nevertheless, international subsidiaries, such as Malta and Kosice airports, recorded double-digit passenger growth.
The company continues its ambitious expansion projects, investing a record €300 million in 2025. Despite upcoming tariff reductions expected in 2026, the outlook remains positive with predictions of 42 million passengers for the year.
