Fondazione MAIRE Unveils "Climate Goals" Study in Berlin

Fondazione MAIRE has released its "Climate Goals" study at the Italian Embassy in Berlin. The study, in collaboration with Ipsos Doxa, has been tracking global public awareness of the energy transition since 2023. It involves 2,850 individuals and 25 experts from 17 nations. Germany is highlighted as one of the most informed on energy transition, emphasizing an urgent need to address infrastructural challenges.

The 2026 study edition focuses on Germany, The Netherlands, and Poland, showing a nuanced approach toward energy goals. Germany has a high level of awareness, but the focus is moving to challenges in industrial processes and workforce upskilling. The study suggests the energy transition's momentum may now lie more with emerging economies than Europe.
