Forsee Power and Connected Energy launch an energy storage project based on second-life batteries
Forsee Power and Connected Energy have signed a partnership to develop a modular energy storage solution using second-life batteries. These batteries, sourced from electric buses, extend their lifespan in stationary systems. This initiative promotes a circular economy and generates environmental and economic benefits.
An initial 2.5 MWh system will be operational by the end of 2025 in the United Kingdom. The agreement includes a large-scale commercial deployment model. The partners aim to meet the growing demand for storage solutions, with future projects exceeding 25 MWh in the United Kingdom and France.
