ForwardX Celebrates One Year of AMR Operations at Chery's Dalian Plant

One year after introducing autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to Chery's Dalian factory, the system has maintained its efficiency in supporting large-scale logistics within the welding and final assembly sections. Currently, 270 out of 435 planned AMRs are active, catering to the high pace of automotive production with an output of 800 to 1,000 vehicles daily.

AMRs handle the complex logistics of moving thousands of components smoothly across the factory. In the welding workshop, 121 AMRs manage automated delivery for 32 essential parts, addressing over half of the material needs. The final assembly benefits from 150 AMRs, which handle nearly 80% of its component delivery.

Employing ForwardX's advanced AMR platform, these robots combine vision-based navigation with sophisticated task coordination. The deployment at Chery has reduced manual logistics, enhancing factory efficiency and enabling more focused labor allocation.
