AI Dominates Discussions at London Tech Week 2026

London Tech Week 2026 kicks off amidst a rapid acceleration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration across global industries. The event, taking place from June 8 to 12 at Olympia London, highlights the current pivotal moment for technology.

A recent report from the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance reveals that 81% of financial services firms have embraced AI to some extent, with 40% at advanced stages. Despite AI driving US equity markets to historic highs, global equities have faced a tech-led downturn. Last Friday, the Nasdaq 100 fell by about 5%, its largest decline since April of last year, while South Korea's KOSPI dropped over 8%, triggering circuit breakers.

FP Markets Head of Research, Aaron Hill, emphasized AI's swift adoption and the dual nature of fascination and apprehension it generates. Hill cautioned that adapting to AI is crucial for seizing opportunities in a rapidly evolving market landscape.
