Franco-Belgian Malts: Results down but financial strength maintained
Malteries Franco-Belges (MFB) announced a decline in its revenue, reaching €54.6 million for the first half of fiscal year 2025/2026, a decrease of 15% compared to the previous year. This decline is attributed to lower sales volumes in a shrinking beer market and a drop in barley prices. Net income attributable to the group amounted to €9.4 million, down from €18.2 million recorded in the first half of fiscal year 2024/2025.
Despite these challenges, MFB continued its investments, notably with the maintenance of the Prouvy site and the "Retrofit" project in Pithiviers. Its financial structure remains solid, with positive net cash of €80.6 million and total assets of €376.1 million. The company also continues its commitments to social and environmental responsibility.
