Galenica Enters Diagnostics with Labor Team Acquisition

Galenica AG has completed the acquisition of Diagnostics Group GmbH, known as Labor Team, marking its entry into the diagnostics sector. Announced approximately two months prior and finalized on September 9, 2025, this transaction expands Galenica's healthcare network. Labor Team, a key diagnostic service provider and Switzerland's fourth-largest private laboratory, will continue under its current brand within the newly formed Galenica Diagnostics unit.

The new Board of Directors, including members from Galenica and laboratory experts, will govern Labor Team, ensuring management stability. The acquisition allows Galenica to integrate innovative laboratory services into its existing offerings. This strategic move aims to enhance healthcare services in Switzerland, including potential advancements in pharmacy-based diagnostic services.
