Galenica Reports Steady Growth in First Half of 2026
In the first half of 2026, Galenica AG reported a 7.1% sales increase to CHF 2,136.5 million alongside a 7.1% rise in adjusted EBIT to CHF 117.7 million. This growth was partly fueled by increased demand for healthcare services in pharmacies and expanding home care and diagnostics sectors. The "Pharmacies Omni-Channel" sector grew by 6.2% to CHF 756.9 million, clearly outpacing market averages. Despite the Swiss consumer healthcare market's modest 0.2% growth, Galenica pharmacies thrived, especially with weight loss products.
The "Services & Production" sector saw a 9.4% rise in sales due to the home care businesses of Bichsel and Lifestage Solutions. In diagnostics, sales hit CHF 62.2 million, contributing 3.1% to Galenica’s overall growth. Galexis maintained its strong wholesale position with sales of CHF 1,647.3 million, growing 4.3% amid market transformations. Overall, Galenica reaffirms its 2026 outlook, expecting sales growth of 5% to 7% and increased efficiency from continued automation.
