Gari Village Reaps Benefits from Tourism Boom
Gari Village, nestled in the Dawagengzha scenic area of Beijing, China, has seen remarkable growth in its tourism sector. In 2024, the village's 158 guesthouses welcomed over a million visitors, generating 120 million yuan. Each household saw an additional income of 20,000 yuan.
During the 2025 red-leaf season, weekly tourism revenue topped 1.5 million yuan. This was achieved through activities like mushroom picking, Guozhuang dance lessons, and selling local products such as yak meat. Party Secretary Asheng aims to continue improving villagers' livelihoods through innovative measures.
