House of Hope in Bamako Aids Vulnerable Women in 2026
The House of Hope centre in Bamako, Mali, continued its mission to support vulnerable women and girls in early 2026. Operated by Gedeon Richter Plc. in collaboration with the Close to Africa Foundation and Sini Sanuman Foundation, the centre provides essential healthcare, protection, counselling, education, and vocational training. In the year's first half, 50 women received support from the center.
Launched in 2025, the initiative aims to assist women affected by violence and harmful practices. By mid-2026, more than a hundred women had benefited from its services, while community outreach expanded its influence in Bamako.
Key initiatives, including a tailoring workshop, empower women with skills and confidence. The program aligns with Mali's 2025 legislation against female genital mutilation, marking progress in protecting women's rights. The House of Hope remains a flagship project for Gedeon Richter's commitment to women's wellbeing worldwide.
