Gerresheimer to Sell Centor and Global Plastics Business to Apax Funds
Gerresheimer AG has announced the sale of its Centor US Holding Inc. and global Primary Packaging Plastics (PPP) business to Apax Funds. The agreement includes 15 production sites across nine countries and Centor's site in the USA. The transaction is valued at approximately EUR 1.5 billion. In 2025, these units generated a combined revenue of about EUR 570 million with 2,400 employees.
The sale is part of Gerresheimer's strategy to improve its capital structure by reducing leverage. Finalization of the Centor sale is anticipated by the end of 2026, while the PPP business transaction is expected to conclude in early 2027, pending customary regulatory approvals and conditions.
