Gerresheimer Releases First Voluntary Sustainability Report
Gerresheimer, a systems provider for the pharma, biotech, and cosmetics sectors, has published its inaugural voluntary sustainability report. Aligned with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the report reveals significant achievements for the 2025 fiscal year. The company reported a 31% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 CO2e emissions compared to 2019, and 54% of its electricity now comes from renewable sources. Furthermore, Gerresheimer improved its lost time incident rate by approximately 63%.
The company has set a new target to cut CO2e emissions by 52% by 2030, with these goals verified by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). In 2025, Gerresheimer also received an "A–" in the CDP climate rating, confirming its "Leadership" status. This recognition places them above the global industry averages in environmental management.
Gerresheimer aims for 65% of its suppliers to set science-based targets by 2029, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and transparency.
