Eurotunnel and London St. Pancras Highspeed Partner for Enhanced Rail Connectivity
Eurotunnel and London St. Pancras Highspeed have announced a strategic partnership to boost international high-speed rail services between the UK and Europe. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed to reduce journey times, enhance timetable coordination, and introduce more trains on new routes.
This collaboration seeks to make rail travel a faster and more appealing option for cross-Channel journeys. The partnership emerges amid growing demand for sustainable travel solutions, aiming to unlock the full potential of London's St. Pancras station.
London St. Pancras Highspeed CEO Robert Sinclair and Getlink CEO Yann Leriche emphasized the importance of this initiative in promoting a low-carbon, efficient transportation network. The project aligns with their advocacy for ‘rail first’ public policies and aims to increase train capacity and new destinations in Europe.
