Getlink acquires ASA and BIMS to strengthen its customs services
Getlink has announced the acquisition of Associated Shipping Agencies (ASA) and its subsidiary Boulogne International Maritime Services (BIMS), specialists in customs services between France and the United Kingdom. These companies, recognized as Registered Customs Representatives, carry out customs and health formalities, which have been essential since Brexit. Based in Calais, Boulogne-sur-Mer and Dunkirk, they employ around 50 people and generated a turnover of €5 million in 2024.
This acquisition follows that of ChannelPorts Ltd and expands Getlink's offering in cross-Channel goods trade, integrating these activities into its Getlink Customs Services division. Yann Leriche, CEO of Getlink, underlines the importance of this merger to improve the customer experience and simplified customs management.
