Gold Port Corporation Appoints Metallurgical Consultant
Gold Port Corporation has appointed Alex Mezei as Metallurgical Consultant for its Groete Gold Copper Project in Guyana. Mezei will lead a two-phased metallurgical evaluation, beginning with a review and analysis of existing data. The second phase will evaluate pre-treatment protocols in conjunction with a planned drilling program.
The investigation will be conducted at recognized laboratories, focusing on optimization and variability studies. The objective is to develop a process flowsheet and evaluate economic viability as part of an NI 43-101 Technical Report update. Initial recovery methods will focus on proven, low-cost options such as flotation and cyanidation, with potential exploration of additional techniques based on results.
Mezei brings extensive experience in metallurgical process development, offering expertise in risk mitigation and testwork program design. His career spans projects involving base, precious, and rare metals across the globe.
