Gotion Initiates Europe-Africa Electric Logistics Corridor

Gotion, Green Power Morocco (GPM), and Chery Heavy Trucks have agreed to develop a 2,000-km electric logistics corridor from Agadir, Morocco, to Perpignan, France. This initiative aims to reduce emissions in cross-continental freight through the integration of electric trucks. The corridor is currently traversed by approximately 2,000 heavy trucks daily.

The development will feature electric fleets, battery-swapping stations, and smart dispatching, managed by a joint venture between Gotion and GPM. The first phase involves deploying 100 heavy-duty electric trucks equipped with Gotion battery systems, with expansion contingent on performance and infrastructure readiness.

A battery-swapping solution is being developed to enhance efficiency, alongside efforts in battery standardization and lifecycle management. The project does not claim carbon neutrality at this stage, pending verified environmental performance data.
