Grande Portage Resources Begins Sensor-Based Ore Sorting

Grande Portage Resources Ltd. has announced the initiation of sensor-based ore sorting testwork at its New Amalga Mine Project in Alaska. The company aims to utilize advanced technology from Steinert US Inc. to distinguish ore from waste, thereby minimizing chemical processing and transport costs.

The New Amalga site, located 16 miles northwest of Juneau, is ideal for this technology due to its distinctive wall rock. This process could significantly reduce transportation requirements, allowing for the inclusion of thinner veins previously deemed non-viable in mining plans.

Grande Portage emphasizes that this innovation might decrease per-ounce costs by sending less mined rock to third-party facilities. Additionally, the sorted reject material could be used as backfill, integrating it into the mining cycle.

The company has also entered a marketing agreement with 1000903966 Ontario Inc. for social media engagement, enhancing its visibility over a 90-day period.
