LiDAR Survey Boosts Grande Portage Resources' Amalga Gold Project Development

Grande Portage Resources Ltd., based in Vancouver, has announced the results of a LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) aerial survey at its New Amalga Gold property in Southeast Alaska. This advanced mapping technique validates the company's engineering plans and supports environmental assessments essential for proceeding with project development.

The LiDAR mapping, executed by NV5 Geospatial's Anchorage team, covers the planned infrastructure areas and access road corridor. By generating a precise "point cloud" of terrain and vegetation, the data facilitates the identification of optimal locations for infrastructure, while minimizing environmental disturbance.

Grande Portage's New Amalga project is characterized by substantial gold and silver resources, with gold resources amounting to 1,438,500 ounces indicated and 515,700 ounces inferred, alongside significant silver resources.

The company's strategy includes a small underground mining operation with offsite processing, reducing the environmental footprint and capital costs. This LiDAR survey marks a significant step forward in the project’s development, preparing it for regulatory advancement and potential expansion.
