Grid Metals Reports Significant Cesium Grades at Falcon West Project
Grid Metals Corp has announced promising initial results from its 2025 cesium-focused drilling at the Falcon West Cesium property near Winnipeg, Manitoba. The exploration, targeting the pollucite-hosted cesium mineralization in the Lucy South LCT pegmatite, revealed significant findings. Notably, one drill hole showed 3.01 meters with 14.0% Cs2O, among other high-grade intercepts. The property boasts potential as a key geological target due to these high cesium grades.
The drill program aims to complete 70 holes, assessing the Lucy South pegmatite's near-surface strike and cesium distribution. The company has identified a pattern of mineralization within the pegmatite, with zones enriched in cesium, lithium, rubidium, and tantalum. These distinct zones provide a clear target for the ongoing exploration.
Grid Metals regards cesium as crucial, especially as global demand rises for applications in defense and solar technologies owing to its recent designation as a critical metal by the U.S. and Canadian governments.
