Exail Technologies' DriX O-16 drone completes 2,000 km autonomous crossing

Exail Technologies recently announced a significant advancement with its autonomous surface drone, the DriX O-16. This 16-meter drone completed an unprecedented 2,000 km crossing between La Ciotat, France, and the Troia Peninsula, Portugal. This operation, carried out in complete autonomy under the supervision of Exail, lasted six days and included the passage of the difficult Strait of Gibraltar.

The DriX O-16 has demonstrated the reliability of its sensors and decision-making capabilities, successfully avoiding maritime traffic. This achievement illustrates the level of sophistication achieved by Exail, a specialist in maritime robotics, since the launch of the first DriX model in 2017. Currently deployed in 19 countries, the DriX is used for both civil and defense missions.

Participation in NATO's REPMUS and the European I-SEAMORE project presents opportunities for Exail to gain exposure, demonstrating its ability to deliver sophisticated autonomous solutions for the naval sector.
