Gryphon Digital Mining Expands with Major Alberta Acquisition
Gryphon Digital Mining Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire Captus Energy's 850-acre site in Southern Alberta. This acquisition is poised to position Gryphon among top global computing infrastructure providers, leveraging access to dual natural gas, grid connection, and carbon sequestration capabilities.
The site can potentially expand to 4GW of power capacity, aiming for 130MW by 2026. An experienced team led by Harry Andersen will manage operations. Financial estimates suggest potential revenue up to $5 billion annually, assuming full capacity and existing forecasts.
This move follows Gryphon's recent acquisitions in British Columbia with scalability to 1GW and anticipated cost-efficiency at under $0.03/kWh. CEO Steve Gutterman describes these developments as transformative for Gryphon's market positioning.
