François Michel appointed head of the GTT group
The GTT Group has announced the appointment of François Michel as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 5, 2026. This decision, unanimously adopted by the Board of Directors, marks a return to a separate corporate governance structure. The selection of François Michel is the result of a rigorous process, highlighting his managerial experience and strategic vision.
François Michel, a graduate of École Polytechnique and a mining engineer, held key positions at Alstom, the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, and the International Monetary Fund. More recently, he was CEO of John Cockerill, where he strengthened the group's international and technological development.
In his new role, François Michel will focus on technological innovation and operational excellence at GTT, while supporting its diversification. His goal is to extend the company's innovation trajectory, in line with the changes in the energy sector.
