Guanajuato Silver Announces Operational Updates and Legal Developments
Guanajuato Silver Company Ltd. has provided an update on their mining activities in Guanajuato, Mexico. This follows their acquisition of Bolanitos S.A. de C.V. James Anderson, Chairman & CEO, outlined efforts to optimize operations through a realignment of mineral transport paths. A key adjustment includes the temporary closure of the Cata processing plant. The material from San Ignacio and Bolanitos will be redirected to maximize the capacity of Bolanitos and El Cubo facilities.
The acquisition of the Bolanitos gold-silver mine from Endeavour Silver Corp. is expected to be completed by January 2026, pending customary approvals. Meanwhile, a legal issue has arisen with a lawsuit from NucTech Mexico against the company's subsidiary, concerning compensation for equipment use at San Ignacio. An initial ruling favored NucTech; however, Guanajuato Silver plans to appeal.
