Guanajuato Silver Maintains Positive Trajectory in Q2 2026

Guanajuato Silver Company Ltd. reported a second consecutive quarter of positive net income in Q2 2026, marking a pivotal point for the company. Operating income reached US$9.1 million, contributing to a net income of US$557,000 for the quarter and US$6.3 million for the first half of the year.

The company's revenue remained consistent at US$42.5 million, with precious metals contributing over 95% to the revenue. Silver production rose slightly by 2% with gold production showing a 15% decrease due to a ramp-up phase at the Bolanitos Mine.

During the quarter, significant strides were made in debt reduction and operational cost adjustments. Notably, accelerated debt repayments valued at US$12.1 million were settled through gold payments, securing financial flexibility for the company.

The firm also invested substantially in exploration and infrastructure, enhancing its capabilities for future production increases. Exploration involved nearly 10,018 meters of drilling, advancing the development at key sites such as Bolanitos, El Cubo, and San Ignacio mines.
