HHLA Displays Revenue Growth Amidst Tax Challenges
Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) reported a 9.9% increase in Group revenue to €1,756 million for 2025, despite facing a challenging economic environment. The Group’s operating result (EBIT) also grew by 19.5% to €161 million. However, tax-related one-off effects significantly impacted net profit, reducing it to €10 million from €33 million the previous year.
The Port Logistics subgroup saw a 10.1% rise in revenue, reaching €1,719 million. Its operating result improved by 22.8%, largely driven by positive volume growth in handling and transport, although global uncertainties and supply chain issues posed challenges.
In contrast, the Real Estate subgroup maintained steady revenue but experienced a 4.4% decline in EBIT due to one-off expenses. Despite the solid revenue performance, HHLA decided not to propose a dividend for the 2025 financial year.
