HBM Healthcare Investments Reports Strong Half-Year Results

HBM Healthcare Investments achieved a robust performance in the first half of the 2026/2027 financial year. The net asset value per share grew by 9.8% to CHF 297.30, while the share price increased by 7.8%, still 21% below NAV. A profit of approximately CHF 177 million is anticipated for the half-year.

Private companies significantly contributed CHF 138 million. Key drivers included Dren Bio's financing round with a CHF 74 million boost, Curevo Vaccine's acquisition by Eli Lilly adding CHF 32 million, and Neurelis's revaluation by CHF 18 million. These gains were slightly offset by CHF 31 million in value adjustments.

Listed assets added CHF 107 million, led by Natera with CHF 41 million and significant contributions from Harmony Biosciences, Argenx, and Indian holdings. However, declines in Cathay Biotech and Oculis impacted results. Overall, a favorable US dollar exchange rate effect was noted. Final results will be released on 23 October 2026.
