Moody’s Elevates HDBank’s Outlook to 'Positive'
On May 6, 2026, Moody's Ratings elevated HDBank’s outlook from “Stable” to “Positive.” While retaining HDBank’s long-term deposit and issuer ratings at B1, this update highlights the bank's solid financial footing and robust operational capacity.
The upgrade is driven by HDBank's upcoming capital increase and strong profitability, expected to bolster its financial buffers against risks linked with rapid loan growth. Recently, HDBank approved a plan to increase its equity from VND78.3 trillion to VND110.1 trillion, marking a 41% rise.
The improved outlook may enhance HDBank's status in global financial markets, supporting expanded partnerships and access to capital. In Q1 2026, the bank reported a pre-tax profit of VND6.1 trillion, a 14% growth compared to the previous year.
