Hep global Initiates 8 MWp Solar Park Construction in Schongau

hep global GmbH has commenced the construction of a new solar park in Schongau, Bavaria. This project will have a capacity of 8 MWp alongside a battery storage system of 6.1 MWh. Aimed at enhancing the reliability of solar energy, the facility will store excess power and supply it as required, even during low solar irradiation.

The project, developed in partnership with Volllast GmbH, is situated near a gravel plant and involves a unique segmented layout optimized for energy efficiency. Civil engineering works are complete, and access roads have been constructed. Trucks of up to 60 tonnes can now reach the site.

The project anticipates commercial operation by year-end. Its future output of over 9.3 million kWh will power approximately 2,744 households for at least 20 years, strengthening local energy reliability.
