HEXAOM: Customer Portrait in 2024

In 2024, the Hexaom Group reveals the trends in the French house construction market. Despite a drop in first-time buyers, the return of the PTZ is stimulating their access to property. The average budget for building a house reaches €318,000 including tax, up 10% compared to 2023. This increase reflects inflation and growing expectations for domestic comfort. The distribution of house surfaces has changed, with an increase in small and large houses to the detriment of intermediate surfaces.

The year 2024 shows an increased interest in scattered houses, now the majority, as houses in subdivisions decrease. The majority of buyers are young couples, although the share of first-time buyers has decreased with the temporary cessation of the PTZ. Despite this, Hexaom remains optimistic about the territorial expansion of the PTZ, envisaging a positive impact from 2025. Financing remains essential, with 76% of customers taking out a mortgage.

Finally, Hexaom continues to be committed to energy efficiency, reducing consumption by 34% compared to standards and promoting renovation, with nearly 8,790 projects in 2024.
