High-Grade Copper Discovery by Axo Copper Corp. at La Huerta South
Axo Copper Corp. has identified a promising new copper discovery at La Huerta South, approximately 3km from the main La Huerta Trend and Las Marias. The exploration yielded multiple surface samples with copper grades exceeding 10%, emphasizing the potential for multiple high-grade structures beyond the primary trend. CEO Jonathan Egilo confirmed plans for initial drilling later in Q3 2025.
The La Huerta South discovery indicates two primary mineralization trends. The north-south striking structure, approximately 1,000 meters long, produced significant sample results, including 7% Cu at sample LHS-3528 and 10.8% Cu at LHS-3494. Additionally, an east-west structure extending roughly 500 meters delivered samples with 3.6% Cu. Predominantly found in andesitic volcanic rock, mineralization in these zones consists of chalcopyrite and bornite.
