High Tide Resources Achieves High-Quality Iron Concentrate at Labrador West Project

High Tide Resources Corp. has reported promising flotation test results from its Labrador West Iron Project. The tests, led by Studiengesellschaft fur Eisenerzaufbereitung GmbH & Co. KG, indicated the potential for producing Direct Reduction (DR) quality iron ore concentrate with an iron content of up to 68.2% and minimal impurities.

EVP Michael Zurowski stated that the tests confirm the viability of producing a DR-quality concentrate. More than 3.6 tonnes of drill core samples from 2022 were tested, representing three ore types—Hematite, Magnetite-Carbonate, and Goethite.

The flotation tests yielded iron recovery rates with low silica and alumina contents. The next phase involves a pilot plant program using 2.5 tonnes of material from the three types. This initiative aims to further validate concentrate quality and advance towards pelletization and reduction testing.
