Hillcrest Energy Technologies on Track with PCS1000 Prototype for June 2026

Hillcrest Energy Technologies Ltd. has confirmed that the development of its ZVS PCS1000 Grid Power Conversion System is progressing as planned. The prototype, set for completion in June 2026, will be showcased in Vancouver, Canada, and Germany. Built on Hillcrest's proprietary Zero Voltage Switching platform, the PCS1000 aims for peak conversion efficiency above 99%, surpassing industry norms.

This 200 kW, 1000V inverter prototype is designed for grid-connected applications and aligns with the Open Compute Project's 800V data center power architecture. Compatibility with UL1741 certification indicates readiness for widespread energy integration. Strategic discussions are underway with key players in data center and energy storage sectors.

CEO Don Currie highlights the significance of this milestone toward commercial readiness, marking the company's extensive engineering developments in efficient energy solutions.
