HKSTP Launches 'Global Connect – Global Innovation Exchange'
On April 1, 2026, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) unveiled the 'Global Connect – Global Innovation Exchange (GIE).' This platform aims to enhance innovation and technology ecosystems by connecting the world to Hong Kong, focusing on startups and innovative solutions.
The launch event was supported by consulates and chambers of commerce from 17 countries. The GIE is crafted to connect China, Hong Kong, and international I&T developments through events and partnership opportunities. It serves as a gateway for overseas innovators to tap into the Greater Bay Area and supports Chinese companies entering global markets.
Key representatives emphasized Hong Kong's strategic position in global capital flow and partnerships. Johannes Hack highlighted the importance of understanding mutual value propositions for successful collaborations. Terry Wong, CEO of HKSTP, expressed confidence in GIE fostering seamless international connections and broad resource access.
