Holcim Expands in Australia with Burdett Group Acquisition

Holcim has finalized the acquisition of Burdett Group, enhancing its presence in Australia's attractive market. Burdett Group, located in southeast Melbourne, is a prominent supplier of aggregates and recycled construction materials. This acquisition aligns with Holcim's NextGen Growth 2030 strategy, which targets key markets.

Khaled El Dokani, Holcim's Region Head for Asia, Middle East & Africa, acknowledges the significant expertise Burdett adds in circular construction. This move aims to recycle over 20 million tons of construction demolition materials globally by 2030, integrating Holcim’s ECOCycle technology.

Founded in 1972, Burdett Group has extensive industry experience in Victoria, serving various sectors from infrastructure to buildings. The company’s over 120 employees will join Holcim, contributing to the development of sustainable construction solutions.
