Homann Holzwerkstoffe Releases 2026 Mid-Year Report

Homann Holzwerkstoffe, a key European supplier of thin wooden fibreboards, has published its 2026 mid-year financial report. The company confirmed revenues of EUR 194.4 million, consistent with the previous year's figure of EUR 195.0 million, despite weak demand from the furniture sector. The adjusted EBITDA showed a significant drop to EUR -1.4 million from EUR 22.1 million, primarily due to start-up losses at its new Lithuanian plant and increased costs amid the Middle East conflict.

Significant cost pressures continued until June, when these were partially passed on to customers. The Lithuanian plant's start-up losses substantially affected Group results, resulting in a net loss of EUR -29.4 million for the first half of the year. The company plans temporary capacity reduction at the Lithuanian site to curb losses.

Accordingly, Homann Holzwerkstoffe anticipates stable revenues for 2026, with adjusted EBITDA projected between EUR 10 and 15 million, expecting market recovery ahead.
