He Tingbo, President of HiSilicon, Huawei's semiconductor division, has been named to the 2026 TIME100 AI list. This list highlights the 100 most influential figures in artificial intelligence. TIME's editors and reporters crafted this list by reviewing significant stories in AI and consulting with experts and industry leaders.
In May 2026, He Tingbo introduced the "Tau (τ) Scaling Law" at a symposium in Shanghai. This new principle proposes time-based scaling as a replacement for Moore's Law's geometric shrinking for semiconductors. Under her decade-long leadership, HiSilicon has advanced in AI computing, developing Ascend AI accelerators and Kunpeng server processors.
