Huawei Advocates for AI-Centric All-Optical Network at MWC Barcelona 2026

Huawei has put forward a vision to construct an AI-focused all-optical network to enhance service experience during the Green All-Optical Network Forum at MWC Barcelona 2026. The proposal includes four key initiatives to improve network bandwidth, reliability, coverage, and latency, ultimately unlocking network value for operators and enhancing AI services.

Industry leaders, including those from Bouygues Telecom and China Unicom, discussed opportunities for advancing intelligent operations and AI innovation. Huawei's Vice President of the Optical Business Product Line, Kim Jin, unveiled new optical network products aimed at delivering high-bandwidth, low-latency, and reliable services.

These advancements promise wider Wi-Fi coverage at home, lower latency with next-gen PON, and enhanced AI experiences through OXC metro networks. Moreover, Huawei aims to tackle bandwidth issues via a 3D-mesh architecture and new high-capacity technologies, ensuring uninterrupted AI services.
