Huawei's NG WAN Solution Enters Large-Scale Commercial Use
Huawei has announced the widespread commercial deployment of its Next Generation Wide Area Network (NG WAN) solution, aiming to drive carrier growth. At the Net5.5G Intelligent IP Network Summit during UBBF 2026, John Cai of Huawei emphasized AI's significance in an unpredictable future, highlighting the relationship between NG WAN and AI developments.
The NG WAN Solution features a multi-layered security system across device, link, and service layers. It boasts advanced threat detection and reduced DDoS risks. A notable deployment in Macao marked a 50% revenue increase in private lines, showcasing its commercial potential.
In terms of efficiency, Huawei's solution leverages AI Fabric to maximize computing productivity, ensuring lossless transmission over 1,000 km. Additionally, it supports network autonomy with the "One Map, One Brain" architecture, achieving high levels of autonomous network operations. Over 60 carriers globally are already utilizing this solution, focusing on creating value and secure networks in the AI era.
