Hyundai Mobis Expands Operations with Hungarian Plant
Hyundai Mobis has inaugurated a new plant in Kecskemét, Hungary. This facility will supply chassis modules for electric and hybrid vehicles to a German premium carmaker. The strategic location near the customer's site enhances supply chain efficiency.
Previously, Hyundai Mobis supplied these modules from its Alabama plant to Mercedes-Benz models in North America. The new Hungarian plant leverages this experience, providing flexible production lines that can handle electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicle components.
Hungary is becoming a key automotive hub in Eastern Europe, with significant investments from global automakers. Hyundai Mobis's European operations now include plants in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey, and soon, Spain.
