Hyundai Mobis Unveils Data-Driven System to Reduce SDV Testing Time
Hyundai Mobis has launched a data-driven validation system aimed at drastically reducing the testing time for software-defined vehicles (SDVs). The system collects driving data from real-world scenarios and uses simulators linked to electronic control units (ECUs). This approach facilitates comprehensive testing by automating data management and integrating it with simulation tools.
The new system can perform 10,000 hours of validation in just one week, significantly cutting down traditional evaluation periods. It achieves this by connecting up to 60 simulators to replicate various driving conditions, including complex scenarios like nighttime and rainy weather. This innovation is expected to bolster Hyundai Mobis's competitiveness in the global market for ADAS and autonomous vehicle components.
By advancing their validation capabilities, Hyundai Mobis aims to enhance the reliability of autonomous driving systems, including radar, cameras, LiDAR, and ultrasonic sensors. The company plans to continue developing this system through collaboration with global research hubs.
