IDEAL Semiconductor's SuperQ™ Technology Gains Automotive Qualification
iDEAL Semiconductor Devices Inc has announced that its SuperQ™ technology has achieved AEC-Q101 automotive qualification. This marks a significant step for the company into high-reliability markets. The iS20M028S1CQ, their first automotive-qualified product to enter mass production, is a 200 V MOSFET with a 25 mΩ RDSon and a 175°C temperature rating.
SuperQ technology advances silicon MOSFETs by increasing efficiency and reducing switching losses. Its automotive qualification underscores its robustness, making it suitable for applications like electric vehicle powertrains and ADAS. The iS20M028S1CQ offers industry-leading performance in a compact PDFN 5x6 mm package, enhancing resistance and efficiency.
CEO Mark Granahan highlights the milestone as a validation of SuperQ's potential in driving efficiency in electrified transportation and more sustainable power solutions. The device is also applicable in sectors such as motor drives, AI servers, and solar applications.
